RANT of the year:
(since I hardly ever do any rants).
I hate those blogs that solely promote being skinny and thinspo and thinspiration.
Like really people, really?!
And no, I’m not some fat kid sitting behind my laptop enraged because I’ll never attain a skinny body. I’m not. And no, I’m not anorexic and angry that healthy people want to look like me. I’m not that girl either. Instead, I am an average teenager, with an average body and an average (healthy, I might add) weight.
And for as long as I’ve been tumblring, I’ve come accross sooo many (too many in my opinion) blogs that showcase girl’s hopes and aspirations to become model thin. And I don’t like it.
Today I came across this picture, and not only did it make me stop what I was doing so that I could write this rant. But it made me feel sad, and disgusted.
The last thing girls need is to be bullied on tumblr and being made to feel bad about themselves, their looks, and what they do. Yes, I used the word bullied. Because sending out the message that; if you stop eating and if you exercise 24/7, you will look like the skinny pretty girls on tumblr, it is a form of cyber bullying (again, in my opinion.)
Why can’t people see that skinny is not always beautiful?!
Go ahead and eat whatever the fuck you want. You’re young, and you’re beautiful.
And your goal should be to be healthy, not thin.
